With the reform and opening up in our country, national economy has been developed rapidly and the people's living standards are rising ceaselessly, the traffic level also has a large-scale development, people's travel become more convenient. Urban rail transit as an integral part of the transport system also plays a very important role. However, the urban rail transport also face with various pressures, how to increase the transport capacity, improve service quality, enhance competitiveness and so on. Ticket vending machine is an important equipment to communicate with the passengers, as a rail transit system in the moment it's also facing enormous challenges, how to achieve greater self-booking of passengers, reduce the consumption of human maintenance, and becomes the urgent problems.In this paper, the background is the project of Wuhan subway TVM operation and maintenance system design and development, by researching UML modeling, design patterns, XML and other key technologies and using C++ object-oriented language to implement this software system in the end. First of all, this article introduced the logical structure of software and hardware systems for TVM, analyzed the system profile of existing systems and summed up the existing problems. On this basis, we carried out a detailed system requirements analysis and determine the overall system architecture design. Second, according to the results of the analysis of functional requirements, we divided the system into two functional modules, there're operations management and maintenance operations, and then divided this two modules in detail. In the base of we controlled the business processes of this system, we designed the corresponding business processes and data flow models, and then carried out the detailed design of the presentation layer. Finally, we developed the TVM system by using object-oriented system development methods, and tested this system.
