Metro Ticketing System Design And Development Of Automatic Machines

With the increasingly serious problem of modern urban traffic jams, urban rail traffic has been a rapid development because it can greatly alleviate this problem. As the important part of city rail traffic, Automatic fare and collection system (AFC) completes the work of tickets trading and tickets collection when passengers enter or exit the station efficiently and accurately without staff to guard. And the ticket vending machine as one of the most important equipment of the AFC system, really complete the sale of tickets and transactions. And ticket vending machine has direct contact with passengers, so it is very importance to ensure the robustness and stability of the software system of this machine. The software system of Automatic vending machine includes ticketing system for ticketing processing, and the financial system for financial processing, and interface with passengers (UI).The study of this paper is under the background of Wuhan Metro Line 2 and Line 4 project. At frist this paper discuss the significance of the AFC system localization.And general design the Ticket Vending Machine system with Object-Oriented development thought, according to Wuhan Metro’s specific needs. Then detailedly design and realize the ticketing system in the AFC system with C++ programme language, applicating serial communication, dynamic link library, multi-threading technology, design patterns and so on. The system includes module for sale Single Journey Ticket, module for reading and writing Single Journey Ticket, module for reading and writing stored value card and Staff card, whose functions are to delivery, read and write Single Journey Ticket, to recycle invalid ticket and to process stored value cards and Staff card. The system which has developped successfully completes the function of ticketing system. It is integrated with other modules to achieve self-ticketing in the TVM system. What’s more, the each module of ticketing system can be transplanted directly into other devices such as replacement ticket machine, dollar coin machine, and gate to improve the reusability of the program.
