This paper is devoted to High -Voltage ignition unit,which has been widely used in all kinds of large capacity Synthetic Test. The main function is using the Ignition operation let the voltage source work for Hundreds microsecond before the current zero, to complete Synthetic Test.First of all, the paper is analysising the coil design , putting forward a design scheme, and computationaling coil turn and coil energy. 12VDC voltage is rectifiered by FBT's coil, and the output voltage reached 10kV.This voltage is used as trigger voltage of the sphere gap switch.The design of High -Voltage ignition unit mainly divides into two parts, one is hardware design, one is software design scheme of microprocessor control circuit. Hardware design mainly includes the triggering control system with the core of MCU. The triggering control system can produce the control signal for the IGBT driver module. It produces the PWM pulse to control the on-off status of the IGBT by continuously. and produces the high voltage pulse. The coil of the FBT has produced current. The microprocessor control circuit judge the voltage value to control the charging process of the capacitor, and control the capacitor to discharge, the high voltage winding can produce 10kV high voltage. On the software, the main task is programming microcontroller programming by Modularization, which is easy comprehension and altered. the unit can control the ignition time within range of the permissible error, make the synthetic test completed.After the preparations mentioned above, experiments are carried about systematically to investigate the influence .Based on the experimental results, the reliability of the switch is experimentally measured. Main interference sources are analysed, which influence High -Voltage ignition unit worked stability. And take a series of measures to decrease interference.Especially the measures of pulse trigger circuit. The High-Voltage ignition unit can works in low power state to prolonged the unit's service life.
