Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) is a new kind of concept of the application of solar energy, which is a technology of make solar product integrate to architecture. Usually, the actual work efficiency of solar cells and modules is lower than in STC by 20% or more. Among four main influence factors (operation temperature, low irradiation quantity, component optical losses, and changes of sun spectral) affecting practical work efficiency of PV components, operation temperature of solar panels always is a key one. Therefore, the research of how to remove redundant heat of the solar panels and its utilization is very meaningful.A novel hybrid photovoltaic/thermovoltaic solar system (PV/TV) was designed with PV cells combined with heat collector and thermoelectric generator. This PV/TV model can collect heat from the solar panels so that to reduce its surface temperature, and then to generate electricity by using of temperature difference technology and devices. Introduce the basic principle of the working thermoelectric in PV/TV system detailedly. Analysis the impact of heat in the solar panels and how to collect heat. Simulation experiments were conducted in outdoor of Beijing. The performance of this system was analyzed with different structure and different environment.This paper tested and discussed the electricity generation performance of PV/TV system between April to October. Calculated the energy conversion efficiency of PV/TV system combined with fluent software. The application of PV/TV system in photovoltaic building was discussed primarily. The overall efficiency of this PV/TV system is higher than that of a pure PV system, and about 5%-15% efficiency increase.A novel hybrid photovoltaic/thermal solar system (PV/T) was designed with PV cells combined with heat collector.
