With the rapid development of China's import and export trade, the port and dock construction is improving rapidly, but the anchorage construction lags far behind, the phenomenon of large port with small anchorage is very common in the coastal ports, and the result is a serious shortage of Anchorage. Especially in recent years, China's cargo throughput comes to a new high, more and more ships berthing and unberthing, resulting in great demand of inner harbor anchoring, and the contradiction between the insufficient anchor capacity and demand is more and more prominent. Especially in adverse weather conditions, various types of vessels are not in accordance with the normal radius of anchoring, crowding in the anchorage, even just anchor out of the anchorage, and these bring a great security risk. Computing the capacity of anchorage is necessary, it can be used as the maximum number of anchoring ship in anchorage for reference and provides a scientific basis for rational planning of Anchorage. At present, there is not too much research on the anchoring capacity, most of which is some of t experience theory to calculate the anchor capacity. In this paper the author innovatively introduces Matlab software and the Monte Carlo algorithm and sets up the model of anchor capacity calculations based on this software. Monte Carlo algorithm is widely used in probability and statistics research, which is a kind of fairly sophisticated algorithm, and it is mainly a random number to the computer simulation method. This method of research with random observe the sampling, sample values of observed statistics obtained some of the parameters of the studied system. Monte Carlo algorithm is applied to the anchor capacity calculations greatly improves the accuracy and reliability of the calculations.This article is divided into following departments:First, collect the basics of the anchorage and theoretical studies, which is the theoretical basis for this article; secondly, introduce a Monte Carlo algorithm and this algorithm is based on a mathematical model of anchor capacity calculations; then, comply the mathematical model of the design function, referring to the reality of the anchor and draw on the anchoring capacity formula; Finally, contrast the number of the ship anchoring in the existing anchorage with the theoretical results, verify the practicality and accuracy of the mathematical model.
