The Design And Development Of Car Design Software System Vehicle_CAD

Computer Aided Design (CAD) has constituted an integral part in the recent development of car design technology, and has been determinant in shortening the development cycle of new models, improving the car design quality and reliability and reducing the cost of development of new car models.In this paper, the car design theory and method is studied, and it is taken as the theoretical basis to establish engineering database files and chart database, then Vehicle_CAD software system is developed. Specific completed work is as follows:(1) The car design is studied, including the overall design, the clutch design, the transmission design, the universal transmission design, the drive axle design, the suspension design, the steering system design, the brake system design. And design process, design method and design formula are summarized.(2) The car design theory and methods are referred to summarize design parameters, set naming rules of parameters, name parameters after the rules and establish the engineering database file; the chart in car design is summarized, and the chart database is established with data management platform Access.(3) With the program development platform Visual C++6.0, Vehicle_CAD software system is designed and developed. This system includes eight subsystems, such as "the car overall design.exe"," the clutch design.exe","the transmission design.exe" and so on. Each subsystem contains design process, function modules of confirming and checking parameters, calling the chart and specification and forming the design report.(4) The clutch design is conducted by using Vehicle_CAD software system, in order to test the software and prove practicability of the software system.Vehicle_CAD software system is based on car design theory and method, is developed by the Visual C++6.0and Access. It is a desktop design tool for car design personnel the design providing guidelines, design process, design method and design formula, will greatly improve the design efficiency, improve the reliability of the design of the car and shorten the development cycle.
