In recent years, the contradiction between the shortage of primary energy and the rising demand on energy has become increasingly prominent. Thermal power generation is in the leading position of the power plant. The consumption of power coal accounts for50%of total consumption of coal, and the proportion have been rising. At present, China's energy efficiency level of power is still relatively low, and there is a great distance with that of the advanced world level. Therefore, the energy efficiency of coal-fired power plants becomes the main reason of affecting China's power industry.Under the background of promoting energy-saving and emission-reduction, in this work, energy efficient evaluation system for supercritical units is preliminary researched. The specific consumption analysis theory is used to describethe spatial distribution of the consumed energy, analyze the energy saving potential of the inherent units and obtain the additional consumption deviation coefficient, analyze the real-time energy saving potential. From the aspects ofeconomic, environmental protection and equipment, a multi-level comprehensive evaluation index systemis established to get the integrated assessment energy efficiency and the state energy efficiency.The600MW supercritical unitsare divided for establishing meticulous energy efficiency index system of diagnosis. According to the spatial distribution of additional consumption and energy efficiency evaluation results, the weak link of the energy efficiencyhas to been obtained. The weak link diagnosed through the diagnosis of energy efficiency index systemis provided the main basis for improving the power plant energy efficiency.The significance of putting forward the theoryis used to obtain a full comprehensive energy efficiency evaluation system, analyze the thermal power unit efficiency in overall to get the real-time energy efficiency and make the managers and operators control the energy efficiency in real-time, providethe main basis for taking measures to improve the thermal power energy efficiency. And the evaluation results of energy efficiency and energy saving potential diagnosis are used to obtain the unit energy saving potential, point out the direction of energy saving and provide the main basis for reducing the energy efficiency, improve the power plant in the power market competitiveness.
