Study On The Visual Blind Spot Of City Roads' Landscape

Visual blind spot in city roads' landscape is one of the main factors that cause the cityroad traffic accidents. This research topic is trying to find the best way of eliminating thevisual blind spot.As making the more safe, more comfortable and more beautiful city roadtraffic environment be the the ultimate goal.With the increasing rate of accident in city road traffic, the research about the influencingfactors of traffic safety has got some achievement at home and abroad. But it is hard to findthe theory research and practice about the city road landscape visual blind spot which makingit be the starting point.So,this topic initially summarizes the main types and characteristics ofvisual blind spot in city road landscape by the way of investigating, examples ofargumentation,analysis and appraisal,continually come to the main conclusions as follows:(1) The research of visual blind spot from the past professors often visual standard to thevehicle. In this paper, through searching and analysising the related theory of the visual blindspot in the city road landscape at home and abroad,concluding the concept of visual blind spotmore comprehensive.Finally it also elaborate its degree of influence to city road traffic safety.(2) Through investigating the characteristics of the road landscape about Fuzhou andother major cities, we preliminary summary the problems which exist in the visual blind spotof the domestic city road landscape;By date sorting about the visual blind spot problem of themain city road of Fuzhou and then it successfully gets a distribution map of visual blind spotsfor Fuzhou.All of which make the research much more deeply.(3) Through using the FBF, we analysis the causes of visual blind spot in the landscapeof city roads by system analysis and systematically investigate the formation of visual blindspot, and then come to the main reasons and the influencing factors of it. And it also inductsthat visual blind spot has two main types of feature and seven types of road environment thatis easy to lead to. (4) Based on the analysis of the causes of visual blind spot,the paper summarys thedesign principles, requirements and methods some principles about the city road landscapewhich can prevent and eliminate the visual blind spot.(5) With the problems about visual blind spot in Fuzhou city,using the design principlesand methods above to propose the corresponding solutions and suggestions.
