Energy is an important material basis for national economic development. As a high-quality renewable clean energy, biogas energy attracts more and more attentions around the world. After years of explorations and pilot demonstrations, construction technology and scale of biogas digesters in China have been in the forefront of the world. Promoting biogas energy in rural areas has become a major breakthrough to solve the issue of "agriculture, countryside and farmers" and build a new socialist countryside. Sichuan, as one of the most suitable provinces for developing rural biogas energy, the construction scale of biogas digesters located in the first place in China. The promotion of rural biogas energy in Sichuan is not only changing the fuel structure in rural areas, speeding up gas utilization, but playing an irreplaceable role in achieving rural sustainable development, improving rural landscape and improving farmers'life quality, accelerating the construction of agriculture circular economy. Of course, farmers have been encountering some technical problems, in the process of using or managing biogas digesters. The sick and waste biogas digesters have reduced farmers'confidence on the construction of biogas digesters. Then, it brings a great negative impact on biogas energy development. Scientifically measuring the impact of rural biogas digesters construction in Sichuan. It has a positive significance in promoting biogas energy in rural areas and rural economic development. On the basis of a comprehensive review of domestic and international present situation and development trends of biogas energy, the paper selects 450 rural households from three hill counties in Sichuan for this study. analyzes investment economic effects of construction of biogas digesters and its influencing factors from farmers perspective and state perspective based on cost-benefit analysis and sensitivity analysis; Then, we summarize investment results of rural biogas energy in Sichuan and the influencing factors and provide reference advice for current and future biogas development. In this paper, the following conclusions are drawn:(1) The construction of rural biogas digesters in Sichuan saves household energy expenditure. Households used biogas digesters sing high praises of biogas energy, 93.3% households consider that biogas energy is the most suitable fuel for them; cooking time can be saved 1.65 hours every day; Compared to households without biogas digesters, households which use biogas can save the energy expenditure about 800-1000 Yuan per year; As a result,77.4% households show that they will continue to use biogas even with more money in the future.(2)To analyze the investment economic effects of household biogas digesters, we compile statement of cash flows by using cost-benefit analysis from farmers' perspective and national point, and study the feasibility of biogas project by calculating net income, the internal rate of return, payback period, ect.. The results show that even without considering the ecological benefits, rural biogas project in Sichuan is still viable.(3) In this paper, we analyze the factors that affect the economic efficiency of rural biogas projects by using sensitivity analysis method. The results show that the first concern is the cost of construction of biogas digesters, followed by the income excluding government subsidies, the operating cost and the government subsidies from the farmers point; for a country, the first concern is profit, and it followed by cost of construction of biogas digesters, operating costs. That is, effectiveness rather than cost is been given more emphasis on the view of macroscopic. In order to promote the further development of rural biogas energy and make more farmers to benefit from the biogas energy, some recommendations are proposed basing on the conclusion for the study as following:Step up publicity efforts to continue to mobilize farmers'enthusiasm to built biogas digesters; Overall planning and actively expand the financing channels for rural biogas industry; Improve the biogas technology research and development system to achieve a comprehensive utilization of biogas energy; Speed up the legislation pace of rural digesters construction, etc..
