At present, the ecological restoration of difficult site such as the abandoned mines, limestone mountain has already been attached great importance to the world. The difficult sitewithout management is important factor of deterioration of the environment, water loss andsoil erosion and desertification, and the consequences poses a serious threat to economicdevelopment and human survival, so difficult site vegetation restoration project is imperative.Based on the guidance of ecological principle and the research methods of soil science, preliminary evaluation of three different vegetation restoration about Wang mountainabandoned mines pits, Jiuli mountain landfill, Yubi mountain limestone barren hills from effectof the preliminary evaluation in the city of Xuzhou. The research on vegetation restoration ecology effect about Wang mountain abandonedmines pits had shown that after vegetation restoration, micro-climate were higher enhanced, plant diversity obviously improved, the zonal wild plant natural invasion and communityforms gradually. moreover, the diversity of vegetation communities and soil properties weresignificant improved. The study on vegetation restoration about Jiuli mountain landfill southern slope shownthat ecological landscape was restored, and species, vertical structure of communitystratification, all levels and species interlayer were obviously improved. At the same time, thequality of soil was significantly enhanced, soil porosity increased, soil density decreased, andsoil organic matter and nutrient content increased gradually. The results of the study on Yubi mountain limestone barren hills of vegetation recoveryunder different types of vegetation species shown that, the vegetation diversity and soilphysical and chemical properties of the artificial mixed forest was better than the artificial pureforest, pure forest was better than not afforestation, and the ecological effects of artificialmixed forest was significantly higher than other kinds of artificial pure forest.
