Effects of vegetation restoration model on soil nutrient characteristics are veryimportant. The effects of different vegetation restoration models on soil physical propertiesand chemical properties were studied in this paper. In the abandoned area of Fuxin coalmine,we selected six vegetation restoration models and collected soil samples at the0~20cmand20~40cm soil layers, analyzed soil physical properties and chemical properties incomparison with the bare land, the soil comprehensive nutrient quality status were analyzedand evaluated. The result as follows:(1)The influences of different vegetation restoration modes on soil physical propertiesshows that all restoration models had different effects on soil water content, bulk density andtotal porosity. The mixed plantation of Hippophae rhamnoides+Amorpha fruticosa and themixed plantation of Ulmus pumila+Robinia pseudoacacia+Helianthus tuberosus had thehighest and lowest soil water content respectively, they all were apparently higher than that ofthe bare land, there was a significant difference between different modes(p<0.05).The mixedplantation of Hippophae rhamnoides+Amorpha fruticosa and the mixed plantation of Ulmuspumila+Amorpha fruticosa+Robinia pseudoacacia had the lowest soil bulk density, the soilbulk density of the pure forest of Helianthus tuberosus was significant higher than othermodels and had a non-significant difference with the bare land, the difference betweendifferent modes was not significant(p<0.05).The form of soil total porosity and soil bulkdensity just the opposite, the had a negatively correlation.Almost the soil water content andbulk density of all the models for the upper layer are less than the lower layer.(2)The influences of different vegetation restoration modes on soil chemical propertiesshows that soil pH value under the several vegetation restoration models was less than thebare land, ranged from6.16to7.58.Vegetation restoration models significantly reduced thesoil electrical conductivity, the pure forest of Helianthus tuberosus has the highest soilelectrical conductivity, the soil salt content of many models is very low, abverse to plantsabsorb nutrients.Soil organic matter and available nutrient content was more than the bareland, and decreased with soil deep increased, the mixed plantation of Robinia pseudoacaciaand Amorpha fruticosa had the highest content of soil organic matter, there were significantdifferences with other model(sp<0.05),the soil available nitrogen content was higher, but the soil available potassium content was the lowest. The mixed plantation of Ulmus pumila andAmorpha fruticosa had the highest content of soil available phosphorus,3.72ppm and3.08ppmfor the0~20cm and20~40cm.The pure forest of Helianthus tuberosus had the lowest contentof soil available nitrogen and available phosphorus, but the available potassium content washigh.(3)The correlation research of soil physical properties and chemical properties ofdifferent vegetation restoration modes shows that the soil water content and soil electricalconductivity were significant negative correlation(P<0.05).The soil bulk density and totalporosity were extremely significant negative correlation(P<0.01),and organic matter weresignificant negative correlation(P<0.05),and electrical conductivity were significant positivecorrelation(P<0.05).There were significant negative correlation between soil total porosityand electrical conductivity (P<0.05),soil total porosity showed significant positivecorrelation with organic matter and available nitrogen content(P<0.05).There were nosignificant correlation between other indexes.(4)The soil nutrient qualities with9soil indexes of different vegetation restoration modeswas analysed and evaluated based on principle component analysis(PCA).It can be seen thatthe ability of mixed forests on soil improvement is better than that of pure forests. The scoreof the mixed plantation of Robinia pseudoacacia and Amorpha fruticosa was the highest.
