The new reclamation area in Yili Qapqal of XinJiang is the research object in this study, getting through soil sample gathering, measuring indoor and data processing, this paper summarizes the change of the surface and the profile soil character in the Yili new reclamation area. The results show:(1).Silt, silty loam is the major soil type, the spatial heterogeneity of soil grain is mainly under the natural factor including parent material, terrain, etc, short-term artificial influence is limited. (2).In the new reclamation area, the soil is major moderate and mild salinization, mainly sulfate-salinization, the factor of the spatial heterogeneity besides the natural factor, the artificial impact can not to be neglected. (3). It show surface gathering character of soil organic matter, total-N and toal-P; the land-use type has more obvious impact on the surface soil layer. The soil calcium carbonate of the wasteland show the feature of nature sierozem, the others have not obvious regularity of distribution after artificial cultivation. (4).The clay content of the cultivated land is lower than the others'; the soil texture has the tendency of coarsening in the short-term cultivation processing. (5).Among the soil magnetism of all kinds of land-use type, the magnetism of wasteland can show the original pedogenic environment condition, the others show different feature due to artificial influence of farming methods and main agrotype. (6).The soil salinity content is high in the new reclamation area, the salinize phenomenon is serious, especially to the abandoned land. The same as the surface soil, the soil profile salinity type is mainly sulfate-salinization. It is to be solved of the soil salinization problem urgently.
