Effects Of Different Reconciled Corn Oils On Antioxidative Stress, Lipid Metabolism Enzymes, And Abundance Of Immune-related Genes Of Broilers

In order to study the effects of different reconciled corn oils on antioxidative stress, lipid metabolism enzymes, and abundance of immune-related genes of broilers, 120 one-day-old Cobb 500 female chickens were divided into four groups randomly, each group had 6 replicates, with 5 chicken in each replicate. Experimental group 1, 2, 3, 4 were fed diets supplemented into 5% corn oil, 2.5% corn oil+2.5% lard, 2.5% linseed oil+ 2.5% corn oil, 1.25% linseed oil+ 3.75% corn oil, respectively. After 42 days, they were slaughtered, and related analyses were conducted. The results were as follows:Experiment 1 was conducted to study the effects of different reconciled corn oils on the broiler production performances, carcass traits and serum biochemical indexes. Results showed that: (1) In 1-21 day old broilers, the feed to gain ratio of experimental group 4 was significantly lower than that of experimental group 1 (P<0.05). But in 22-42 day old, 1-42 day old, the feed consumption, weight gain and feed to gain ratio had no significant differences in these four groups(P>0.05). (2) The breast muscle weight, leg muscle weight, breast muscle percentage of experimental group 2 were the lowest, of which the breast muscle weight was significantly lower than that of the other three group, leg muscle weight was significantly lower than that of experimental group 1, breast muscle percentage was significantly lower than that of experimental group 4(P<0.05). The abdominal fat weight and abdominal fat percentage of experimental group 2 were the highest, of which the abdominal fat weight was significantly higher than that of experimental group 1 and 4 (P<0.05), and the abdominal fat percentage was significantly higher than that of the other three groups (P<0.05). (3) The total protein content of experimental group 2 was significantly lower than that of experimental group 3 (P<0.05), but its uric acid content was significantly higher than that of experimental group 4 (P<0.05). The serum glucose, total cholesterol, total triglycerides, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol contents of experimental group 2 were the highest, and its difference with experimental group 3 and 4 in glucose content were significant (P<0.05). These results suggested that: different reconciled corn oils had no significant effect on the production performance of broilers, but rapseed oil and corn oil reconciled oil had the effects of reducing serum lipid, bood glucose, abdominal fat weight and abdominal fat percentage, and increasing the leg muscle and breast muscle weight, thus improve the carcass traits. However, lard oil and corn oil reconciled oil had the opposite effects.Experiment 2 was conducted to study the effects of different reconciled corn oils on cardiac antioxidant functions, hepatic lipid metabolism enzymes activities. Results showed that: (1) The cardiac malondialdehyde, hydroxyl radical contents, and glutathione peroxidase activity in 42 day old broilers of experimental group 2 were significantly higher than those of the other three groups (P<0.05), but the SOD enzyme activity had no significant difference in these four groups (P>0.05). (2) The hepatic Na+,K+-ATP and Ca2+-ATP enzyme activity of experimental group 2 were the lowest, of which the Na+,K+-ATP enzyme activity were significantly lower than those of experimental group 3, Ca2+-ATP enzyme activity was significantly lower than that of experimental group 3 and 4; There were no significant differences among these four groups in Mg2+-ATP enzyme activity. (3) The hepatic lactate dehydrogenase activity in experimental group 1 was significantly lower than that of the other three group (P<0.05). The lipoprotein lipase activity of experimental group 1 and 2 were significantly higher than that of experimental group 4 (P<0.05), no significant differences was found among these four groups in cholinesterase and liver esterase activity (P>0.05). These results suggested that: lard oil and corn oil reconciled oil had the effects of reducing ATP enzyme activity, increasing the hydroxyl radical, malondialdehyde contents and lipoprotein lipase activity. But supplementing rapseed oil and corn oil reconciled oil had the opposite effects.Experiment 3 was conducted to study the effects of different reconciled corn oils on the abundance of immune-related genes of 42-day–old broilers. Results showed that: The abundance of CD3 in bursa fabricius of experimental group 2 was significantly higher than that of the other three groups (P<0.05). The abundance of CD4 of experimental group 4 was significantly higher than that of the other three groups (P<0.05). The abundance of TLR3 of experimental group 4 was significantly higher than that of experimental group 1(P<0.05). There were no significant difference among these four groups in the abundance ofα-IFN (P>0.05). These results suggested that: different reconciled corn oils had significant effects on the abundance of immune-related genes, experimental group 2 could up-regulate the gene expression of CD3, experimental group 4 could up-regulate the gene expression of CD4 and TLR3.
