Pinellia ternata (Thunb.)Breit is one of the traditional Chinese medicinal plant species, belonging to the family of Araceae. Peach Leaf P. ternata is one kind of P. ternata, which has feature on high yield and fast-growing. This paper discovers new methods about reducing costs of planting P. ternata through early transplanting plantlets. The team also takes biennial Peach Leaf polyploid P. ternata and the controlled plant trubs as material, studies and compares the polyploid P. ternata of Peach Leaf from the morphology, photosynthesis and medicinal ingredients measurment in order to obtain a more comprehensive understanding. The results display as following:The early transplanting of vitro tuber germination and plantlets of P. ternata: the vitro tuber of polyploid P. ternata are dipped in different concentration hormones, then select the best tuber germination as rooting powder solution of 400 times of C-13. The germination rate reaches 95% after 7 days. Through early transplanting cultivation of different stages of plantlets , it is founded that the second and fourth stage of bud growth states are better and survival rates are 92% and 96% after 20 days.The morphology comparision of Peach Leaf polyploid P. ternata: after 2 years planted, compared to the control P. ternata, the variation P. ternata is with deeper green leaves, the stronger leafstalk, the bigger diameter of and tuber, and increasing quality. Plant height increases by 34%,23% diameter and 54% weight of tuber .The photosynthesis comparison of Peach Leaf type of polyploid P. ternata: compared to the normal P. ternata, the polyploid P. ternata contains 16% more chlorophyll content, net photosynthesis and rate of net photosynthesis also increase by 16% than the control P. ternata; transpiration rate increase by 34%, drought-resistant capacity improves.Comparision of medicine ingredient of polyloid Peach Leaf P. ternata: Take biennial matured tubers as raw material, accept the use of high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC )to detect and control the content of medicinal ingredients between Peach Leaf type polyploid P. ternata and normal P. ternata. As a result, guanosine, adenosine and ephedrine are higher than those in control P. ternata. These three components increase by 82 %, 72% and 43% respectively.Therefore, transplanted Peach Leaf polyploid P. ternata is better than the normal P. ternata in the morphological characteristics, photosynthetic efficiency and medicinal ingredients. It is a better germplasm resources of P. ternata and worthy of continued research and promotion.
