Using pot experiment and field trail of pinellia ternata (Thunb.) Breit., we have studied the disciplinarian of the growth, the law of water requirement and water consumption, the amount of fertilizer and ration of fertilizer, and the accumulation of chemical ingredient. It provided the scientific basis for standardized cultivation of pinellia ternata (Thunb.) Breit. to meet the need of GAP. The result as following:1.Based on experiment of planting pinellia ternata (Thunb.) Breit. in pot, it was concluded the consumption of water in the prophase and the metaphase was higher than that in the anaphase. The water consumptions under the three different soil water control were significantly different. Under high soil water, suitable soil water and moderate water stress treatment, the water consumption was 0.897,0.772 and 0.340 Kg H2O for per pot respectively (twenty plant in per pot). The growth of Pinellia ternata (Thunb.) Breit was restrained under moderate drought. MDA content and CAT activity declined firstly and then increased, while SOD activity increased to a certain level and declined finally and POD activity increased all the time. But MDA content and three enzyme activity of seedlings treated by moderate drought were highest among three treatments and significantly different compared to the control (P<0.05). In reducing active oxygen,SOD and POD together played a significant effect while CAT contributed little. And it was negative correlated between SOD activity and MDA content but not significant. The suitable soil water has benefit to the growth of tuber. High soil water can encourage the accumulation of alkaloids but not for guanosine.2.The demand of N, P and K were in the order of K〉N〉P under pot condition. The experiment results showed, in a whole stage of pinellia ternata (Thunb.) Breit. the average N, P and K absorption amount per 100 kg of dry roots were 23.13 kg, 17.52 kg, 47.34 kg respectively. The accumulation of N, P and K in the stage of sprouting and bulbil was higher than other stage. The ratio of N, P and K were differential in different growth stages. Take the example of pot experiment, the ratio of N: P2O5: K2O was 1.36∶1∶2.81 in the stage of sprouting, 1.39∶1∶2.95 in the stage of full seedling, 1.33∶1∶2.87 in the stage of bulbil, 1.34∶1∶2.88 in the stage of spathe and 1.32∶1∶2.70 in the stage of sprout tumble. With the growth of plant, the accumulation center of N, P and K transferred. In both stages of sprouting and bulbil, the requirement of P was high for promoting the nutrient transport to root. The order of the yield and chemical components contents in different stages was : the stage of sprout tumble> the stage of spathe> the stage of bulbil> the stage of sprouting> the stage of full seedling.3.For the experiment of N, P , K and organic manure, the model analysis showed that yield and alkaloids content were influenced greatly by N, P , K and organic manure, and the effects of nutrient elements on those two targets were in the order of organic manure > K >P>N. The guanosine content was also influenced by N, P , K and organic manure and the order is organic manure > P > K >N. The high yield and good quality was obtained under the condition of the reasonable combination and rational ratio of N, P, K and organic manure. According to mathematical model , target yield and quality could be obtained with N rate of 26.11~31.22 g/m2,P2O5 rate of 17.31~20.70 g/m2,K2O rate of 15.96~16.13 g/m2,organic manure rate of 10618~11355 g/m2.4.The yield and chemical components contents of tuber was increased by spraying microelement, including Zn, Mn, Mo, B. The fresh weight of tuber, the contents of alkaloids and guanosine under this condition were significantly or great significantly higher than CK,. The results of four facter variance analysis showed: Zn have great influence on fresh weight of tuber, Mn have influence on the accumulation of alkaloids content significantly, and the accumulation of guanosine content was affected by Mo greatly.
