Rhododendron pulchrum origins from the Ericaceae plants. It is scattered at Hubei Shennong Jia, Yichang, Yunyang, Xiangfan, Xianning ect in China. The extraction of Rhododendron pulchrum.'s leaves has good effect on eliminating phlegm, relieving a cough and preventing asthma. Besides that it also has the effection of Lowering blood pressure, Enhancing the resistance of Capillary,Reducing the brittle of blood capillary, lowering lipid, Dilating coronary artery, Increasing Coronary blood flow, dissolving the Sticky phlegm. After use the extraction, it can make the inside acidic g.lycosaminoglycan of phlegmy fractured, the viscosity of phlegmy is reduced, the Sputum is thinner, easy to cough up out. Now the extraction of Rhododendron pulchrum. which the Main characteristic ingredients of the plants is Quercetin and Farrerol has add into the production of cigarette. Late-stage prooves that this extract can improve the smoking quality of cigarette, ease the discomfort feelings because of smoking, it can also make the flue gas soft, delicate, convergence, increase the aroma and the feelings of smooth.It is a smoking materials which has the characteristics of natural plants which is worth to research and exploit.This paper considers the investigate factors of e.thanol so lvent, ethanol concentration, ethanol, dosage of extraction tim e, extraction times, chooses the best methods of making the ex traction of YingShanHong by using L9 (34) orthogonal experim ent method and the analysiing of variance.That is 10 times amou nt,95% alcohol reflux extraction 2 times,2 h/time, The extract ion technology is stable and feasible for the extraction of Rho dodendron pulchrum.This paper identified the main ingredients of the extractio n of Rhododendron pulchrum.:quercetin and farrerol with TLC. Th e results proved that TLC for identification was highly specifi c with clearpots and high efficiency, which can be used to cont rol the quality of the extraction of Rhododendron pulchrum. effe ctively. High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was used to determine the content of quercetin and farrerol in the extr action of Rhododendron pulchrum. The, result shows that querceti n which exists in the extraction of Rhododendron pulchrum. samp les is 5.22%, and the average contents of farrerol is 6.22%.This paper established the extraction of Rhododendron pulchr um. quality standards, including preparation, character, identi fication, inspection, content determination, nature and flavor, meridian tropism, function and indication, usage and dosag, sto rage, etc.All of these Provided the theoretical basis and scien tific reference for further study, development and application of the extraction of Rhododendron pulchrum. We also built the chromatography fingerprints of the extraction of Rhododendron pulchrum. by HPLC. The Chromatographic conditions is with C18 the filling agent; Acetonitrile-0.4% phosphoric acid buffer salt solution as mobi le phase; Detected wavelength is 360nm; Column temperature is 30℃. In this chromatographic condition available contains eight characteristic peaks in the chromatograph chart, Quercetin (8S) as a standard peak. After system suitability and methodology investigation, the method of establishing the fingerprint of the extraction of Rhododendron pulchrum. with HPLC has the characters of systematic, comprehensive and distinctive characteristics. So the method for establishing the chromatography fingerprints by HPLC in this study, can be a reliable means for appraisal and assessment the quality of the extraction of Rhododendron pulchrumThis research provides the scientific basis of development and application of extract of Rhododendron pulchrum.
