Replying on the monitoring project of Hunan Province forest tending subsidies pilot effectiveness, this paper initially analyzed the forest area resources and cultivation conditions by Field research. Meanwhile, on the basis of forest tending relevant basic theory and research, this paper applies the method of combining mathematics and economics, and structures evaluation indexes to evaluate the effectiveness of Hunan Province main timber forest tending. According to the evaluation conclusions of combining qualitative and quantitative analysis, combining with the overall planning of Hunan Province main timber forest tending, this paper further analyzes and predicts the future economic, ecological and social benefits of forest tending, in the meantime, in order to Provide a reference for carrying out better forest tending in more forests at the Hunan Province, and provide a reference and basis for the comprehensive benefits evaluation of other Forest tending, this paper summarizes the specific proposals for improving the practice of Hunan Forest tending. The research indicate that:(1) The main timber forest measures of forest tending took the remarkable economic benefits in Hunan, the thinning wood and branch path for maria gained in forestthinning provided a part of the capital for forest management unit expanded reproduction, achieved the early use of resources, and obtained the economic value of forest resources. Take the Pinus massoniana and Chinese fir as example, the research found that the benefits of Pinus massoniana was189671.59kg·hm-2after10years later, and grown22.53%, which increased34871.59kg·hm-2. The earnings ofcontrol plots of cunninghamia lanceolata was126000yuan-hm-2after10years later, and the earnings of tendting samples of cunninghamia lanceolata was163541.23kg·hm-2which grown29.7%.(2) After four years of forest tending benefit monitoring we found that the change trend of Shannon-Wiener index and Simpson index of different types of timber forest community samples were the same, biodiversity of evergreen broad-leaved mixed forests greater than that of acerola pure forests; So for the biodiversity of tending samples are higher than the same type of control plots. (3) The increase biomass of tending sample was general higher than that of in contral plots through the methods of reasonable controlling of forest canopy density, change the light intensity, increasing the effective area, improving the leak condition.The increase of biomass of Shuangpai NO.1reached17792.46kg·hm-2which was the greatest, and the rest was as follows:Zixing NO.1> Liuyang NO.2>: Ningxiang NO.1> Huitong NO.2; As for the biomass of litter, control plots is higher than tending samples, its order was as follows:Huitong NO.22499.96kg·hm-2)> Zixing NO.1(2067.13kg·hm-2)> Shuangpai NO.1(969.37kg·hm-2)> Ningxiang NO.1(796.42kg·hm-2)> Liuyang NO.2(369.68kg·hm-2).(4) Study found that it was of help for major timber forestthinning of hunanProvince to improve the carbon storage of ecological system, take the increment of the same type of ecological system of carbon storage as example, tending sample are higher than the control plot, especially the carbon storage of Ningxiang NO.1of tending sample changed a lot, which was higher36.0354t.hm-2than the carbon storage of ecosystem of control plot.(5) Forest tending further improved the health, space condition, and timely repaired clear sick plants, enhance the forest resistance, prevent and control of pest diseases of large area occurred; Reduce the tinder, which further reduced the risk of forest fire; improved the ability to against the naural disasters such as flood, drought, cold, heat, insect.(6) The major timber tending forest in Hunan solved employment and income surplus staff, and also paid the tax for the nation. It was of great help to expand the forestry, to reduce social surplus labor force, be beneficial to social stability and promote the building of a harmonious society, which also has the good social efficiency.
