The Investigation And Analysis On The Application Situation Of Indigenous Trees In Landscaping In Sanming

With movement of the world-wide application of indigenous trees as the main green plants in the landscaping, our country attach more important to the use of indigenous trees. Indigenous trees have many advantages, such as strong adaptability and resistance, cost-effective, eco-effective, abundant cultural deposits, strong identification function. To build local characteristics of the eco-garden city, we must fully exploit the species of indigenous trees, and make full use of them.In this paper, the author investigated the application situation of indigenous trees in the landscaping in Sanming by consulting document literature, making questionnaire surveys, consulting experts, field surveys and system concluding. After analyzing and counting survey content, this article summarized the varieties, proportion and the value of order of trees commonly used in landscaping in Sanming. In Sanming, there were only 6 kinds of indigenous trees commonly used, they were Elaeocarpus sylvestris (Lour.) Poir., Cinnamomum camphora (L.) Presl., Ligustrun lucidum Ait., Bischofia polycarpa,, Michelia macclurei Dandy var. sublanea Dandy., Osmanthus tragrans cv.Tbubergii.. The percentage of total is 31.58%, the important value was 18.95%. And there were 13 exotic species, accounting for 68.42%, the important value was 81.05%. The proportion of the indigenous trees and exotic species was obviously unreasonable. The main species were exotic species, such as Bauhinia blakeana and Cinnamomum pedunculatum, the important values were 26.02% and 16.69%.This article selected and concluded 55 indigenous trees by comparative analysis, which are recommended in landscaping in Sanming. Among them, there were 35 evergreen species and 20 deciduous species, and most of them were widely used in landscaping. Then the article introduced 21 kinds of indigenous trees which were selected from what had been described before, including their morphological characteristics, habits, and other application in garden. And the article made comprehensive evaluation and classification about the 55 indigenous trees, including 3 one-level (Ⅰ), 9 two-level (Ⅱ), 27 three-level (Ⅲ), 10 four-level (Ⅳ) and 6 five-level (Ⅴ), and come up with the scope of application for all different levels trees. Finally, a summary on the shortcomings of the existing native species in Sanming City landscaping has been done:the awareness of indigenous is low; there are few indigenous trees were used in landscaping application; it was unprofitable for the units who used indigenous trees in landscaping; do not form a market source for seedlings of indigenous trees; lack of research on indigenous trees; the ecological function of indigenous was low; they didn't have strong personalities. And some countermeasures have been raised: increase the publicity of the advantages of indigenous trees and raise awareness of them; develop and use indigenous species positively and enrich the species of indigenous trees; strengthen the research on indigenous trees; establish the training bases and enhance the domestication of indigenous trees; adhere to the configuration of the scientific and artistic and pay attention to the combination of indigenous trees'diversity; improve the operational level of professional and technical personnel.
