Application Of Mulberry In Landscaping In He Bei Province

Moraceae includes about 60 genera and 1400 species, in which most of them are distributed in tropical and subtropical, while a few of them are distributed in temperate regions. There are 16 genera in our country including150 species, most of them are distributed in the southern of Yangtze River. Many restricted factors such as climate, topography caused Moraceae application species in the northern of China are only Broussonetia, Cudrania nad Humulus. In recent years, with the rapid development of urbanization construction, landscaping does not satisfy in unique variety and one color. As a result, new types of greening trees are becoming more and more useful. In the paper, the status of mulberry plants suitable for landscaping application, Utilization method, tree species configuration and managements in Hebei were explored. The results are as follows:The investigation of mulberry plants application in 11 cities of Hebei province showed the main landscaping trees of Mmoraceae in hebei province were Morus and Mroussonetia. Morus alba were planted in each city of Hebei province, M. alba var. tortuosa and M. alba var. penduls had scattered in Qinhuadao, Chengde and Baoding. Paper mulberry was distributed in Shijiazhuang, Qinhuangdao, Chengde, Baoding. These trees were mainly planted in the park, fitness plaza and other places, such as: Cangzhou Park, Shijiazhuang Zoo, Baoding Jingxiu Park, Baoding Botanical Garden, and Baoding Military Academy Square.The benefit of mulberry was estimated with established the evaluation system, to classify mulberry of Hebei province, to analyze landscaping effect, and to solve the problems in the landscaping. Among them, M. alba, M. alba var. tortuosa and B.papyrifera were the first-degree garden greening tree species, had strong adaptability, ecological function and enjoyment, to be the most suitable for landscaping in Hebei province. M. alba var. penduls, M. mongolica, M. multicaulis and Cudrania tricuspidata for second garden greening tree species, also had higher comprehensive efficiency, were the general tree species of landscaping in Hebei province, not only enriched the garden greening tree species, but also increased the ecological benefits of green. M. australis, M. bombysis for three-stage landscaping tree species had the lower comprehensive efficiency.The distribution of ancient tree of Moraceae in Hebei province was mainly planted in Zhangjiakou and Chengde, Shijiazhuang, Cangzhou. The quantity was not same. At the ancient site, the growth condition showed lots of important enlightenment in mulberry and other tree species in landscaping elements collocation.The management of Mulberry in Hebei province was analysised in view of the outstanding problems in extensive management, and put forward to the measures and technology for Moraceae plants cultivation management in Hebei province.The investigation of Moraceae plants diseases and insect pests in Hebei province showed the main insect pests of Moraceae plants were Apriona germari, Aphidoidea, Thosea sinensis, Hyphantria cunea, Baris deplanata. Main diseases of Uredo moricola were Mulberry yellow dwarf disease, Mulberry atrophy type atrophy, Mulberry mosaic dwarf disease, etc. According to the characteristics of landscape plants and plant diseases and insect pests occurrence situation, the feasible management plan was established.
