1 Part of unconventional feed resources nutritional value detecting and the effects on the growth performance of beefThis study aimed to analyze the impact of unconventional feed resources on weight gain,performance of meat production of fattening beef cattle feeding with milk thistle cake.48 fattening hybridization Simmental cattle were selected with the body weight of 455 kg,health and with the similar age.They were randomly divided into four groups.Each group contained 12 cattle.The four groups were kept under the same feeding and management conditions,but provided with different feed.The results were as following: the average daily gains,dressing percentage,net beef percentage,meat percentage of carcass and eye muscle area of beef cattle in the test groups were no significance than those in the control group.All these showed that application and popularization of unconventional feed resources of milk thistle cake,would provide a way to reduce feeding costs,expand feed sources and improve the economic efficiency.2 Ruminal Degradability of Crude Protein of milk thistle cake the effect of milk thistle cake on the ruminal environmentThe ruminal degradability of crude protein of milk thistle cake was measured by nylon bags method (in situ) in 3 dairy cow fitted with permanent cannula in order to study the feeding value by using milk thistle cake as feedstuff for livestock. Results were showed as follows: There was no significantly difference in ruminal degradability of CP of milk thistle cake among three dairy cow (p>0.05).The degradability of 0h, 6h, 12h, 24h, 36h, 48h, were 9.43%, 25.39%, 36.64%, 45.58%, 63.52% and 76.51%, respectively, and the effective degradability was 41.53%. the deposit time of testing activity of protozoa's were prolonged(P<0.05). The value of pH were increased(P<0.05).3 Effects of milk thistle cake on Ruminal Enzymes and Digestive and Metabolic of CattleThe NH3-N and ruminal enzymes were measured and analyzed in 3 dairy cow fitted with permanent cannula in order to study the effects of milk thistle cake on ruminal enzymes and digestive and metabolic of dairy cow. A change~over design was used. Results were as follows: After feeding milk thistle cake, milk thistle cake had marked effects on NH3-N, compared with control group, the NH3-N content had significantly difference. The milk thistle cake had no significantly effects on proteolytic enzyme and cellulase activity, and showed that after feeding milk thistle cake there were no side effect on digestive and metabolic of cattle.
