Study On Propagation Technology Of Ornamental Eucalyptus

Eucalyptus is refered to the trees of Eucalyptus, Angophora and Corymbia of Myrtacae. Ornamental eucalyptus is easy to be managed, low cost and resistant to pests and viruses. They are widely applicated in courtyard, park and streets. Thus it is quite important to study the Propagation technology of ornamental eucalyptus.Different varieties of ornamental eucalyptus were selected to investigate the effect of mediums on seed genermination, the effects of plant growth regulator on survival rate of cutting and to construct the plant tissue culture technology. The results were as follows:1. Combined medium (peat and yellow soil) accompany with 3 h seed soaking improved the seed genermination rate. Full light intensity improved the plantlet growth of ornamental eucalyptus.2. Effects of different concentration of Guoguang ABT, IAA and ABT-6 on survival rate of cutting in ornamental eucalyptus were investigated. Soaking in 1000 mg/L ABT-6 solution for 8-10 h inreased rooting rate to 85%.3. We improved the plant tissue culture system for ornamental eucalyptus. We should sterilize with 0.1% HgCl2 solution for 10 min. Bud inducement was initiated on a MS medium containing 0.3 mg·L-1 6- BA,0.03 mg·L-1 NAA,50 g·L-1 sucrose and 5g·L-1 agar, and the pH was adjust to 5.8. The best proliferation medium was MS medium containing 1.0 mg·L-1 6- BA. The best root medium was MS medium containing 1.0 mg·L-1 NAA。...
