Use of heterosis is an important means to improve crop yield, and male sterility is the basis of heterosis effective utilization. Male sterility can mutate by nature, also can by physical and chemical mutagenesis. Moreover, radiation mutagenesis is one of the most effective measures to generate male sterility. Male sterility produced by radiation heterosis and recurrent selection in crop breeding is important. It has played a significant role in grain production.This thesis radiated a number of our group's rice materials by 60Coγ-ray and chose some of male sterile. We research in offspring of irradiation on characters variation the change in infertility, physiological and biochemical changes of different levels of DNA. The main conclusions are obtained as follows:1. Each material's rate of emergence significantly reduced by 60Coγ-ray irradiation treatment. The emergence of offspring of irradiation is gradual recovery as cultivation of generations increases. The average germination rate was 92.5%in irradiation generation M3,and no significant difference between the control material.2. irradiated with 60Coγ-ray,M4 on behalf of the sterile filtered sterile materials of various types, mixed typical abortive round abortion and abortion typical abortion type included, and they are respectively make up 44.76% and 34.29% in the sterile plants. about others, round abortive divine9.52%,and a round stained abortion typical hybrid sterility type was 5.71%.no pollen is the least divine4.76%.All on change in the type of future.3. The SOD soluble protein content of the leaf laminae's later generation which were radiated by 60Co y ray were lower than the wild fertile plants; on the contrary, POD,MDA,soluble sugar were higher than wild fertile plants. Between the different types of abortion of the non-sterile plants, there were no significant physiological and biochemical differences in regularity.4. Studied the genomic polymorphism between the sterile plants and the wild fertile plants by the SCoT molecular markers technoloy,7 primers which were screened between 20 primers has steady amplification,legible bands and polymorphism. There were 57 polymorphic locus has been augmented.
