For study the pollen characteristics of F-type sterile lines and screening its restorers and maintainers, this study observed the group and individuals of F-type lines; abortive anther morphological characteristics compared with K-type and BNS sterile lines; The I2-KI staining method is used to observe pollens of F, BNS, T, K and V-type lines at blooming stage, and using 98 hybrid combinations that F-type sterile lines was female and 98 quality wheat lines were male to detect the self seedset ratios on F1 of combinations. DNA comparative analysis was made by 33 RAPD,15 ISSR and 12 SCAR sterility related markers on the sterile lines.Results showed that:(1) F-type sterile’s anther distortion and degradation, sterility spike fleeciness, open glume. Anther stages can be judged accurately based on its phenotype. Pollen sterility rate of F-type sterile lines reached 95.63% including the highest 67.66% stained aborted rate,19.32% spherical aborted rate and only 8.73% typical aborted. The pollen sterility of F-type was most similar to K-type, the second was V-type in 5 kinds of sterile lines.(2) In 98 hybridized combinations,11 self-seedset ratios (international) were more than 100% and 18 at 0%-10%. Zhoumai16, M510, Xinong815 and Xinong585 were excellent restorer lines to F-type sterile lines. Tianmai989, Cunmai4, CY5475, M460,12Luo-1 and 11GB02 were good maintainers for F-type sterile line by backcross cultivation.(3) OPK18 amplificated a 300 bp band stably from F-type and T-type sterile lines. UBC880 and Me6Em7-250 primers amplificated 270 bp and 550 bp band in the F-type sterile lines respectively. OPA09, OPA16, OPK18, UBC880 and Me6Em7-250 primers can build a wheat sterile line rapid identification system on F-type, T-type, K-type and BNS.(4) F-type sterile line has the highest Jaccard similarity coefficient 0.832 with K-type; Comprehensive analysis on polymorphic of RAPD, ISSR and SCAR primers, K-type and T-type sterile lines had an average Nei’s distance of 0.11 to F-type sterile line which genome has high similarity with K-type and T-type sterile lines.Research suggests that F-type male sterile line has thorough and stable pollen abortion and easily sought its maintainer resources and excellent restorers on fertility.
