Erlangshan white cashmere goat is the excellent type of Inner Mongolia cashmeregoats. It is a kind of precious genetic resources of cashmere goat.The study selected Inner Mongolia Cashmere Goat embryo as hair follicledevelopment model and contrast with mouse skin hair follicle development. Samples of skinwere taken from the left midside of animals. We systematically analysis hair folliclemorphogenesis of Inner Mongolia Cashmere Goat embryos during Ed40~Ed110byconventional histological section and HE staining, and the expression pattern of signalingmolecule β-catenin were detected by immunohistochemistry. The results suggested asfollowing:1. Morphogenesis of Inner Mongolia Cashmere goat hair follicle can divided intopre-placode stage, hair placode stage, hair germ stage, hair peg stage and hair follicle stage,according to the different morphs those five stages can divide different sub-stage, and the hairfollicle morphogenesis is accompanied by the occurrence of sweat gland.2. The process of Cashmere goat primary hair follicle morphogenesis is notsynchronous, and there is a time gap. We first seen the hair-placode at Ed55~60. There aresome hair-placodes again at hair germ stage of the first hair-germ. And the third time we cansee the hair-placodes at hair-peg stage of the first hair follicle.3. The secondary hair follicle is not appeared before Ed110of Cashmere goat fetal.4. At the whole process of Cashmere goat skin hair follicle morphogenesis,β-catenin always expressed in epidermal keratinocytes. At the pre-placode stage, β-cateninexpressed in epidermal keratinocytes but dermal mesenchyme, and it strongly expressed inepidermis of placonde and dermal condensate at hair placode stage. After an expressiondecrease during hair germ and peg stage, β-catenin expressed strongly in hair matrix regionwhile weakly in dermal papilla at hair follicle stage.This work would provide a beneficial reference for understand the expression andregulation β-catenin on Inner Mongolia Cashmere goat hair follicle morphogenesis.
