This study aimed to systematic evaluation of the feeding value of degossypolized cottonseed protein in swine. First determined its apparent digestible energy and standardized ileal digestibility by digestion trials. Second using a three-stage growth experiments to assessment the effect of different replacement percentage of soybean in swine diet by degossypolized cottonseed protein on growth performance, And the end of the stage of finishing pigs to slaughter trial to explore its impact on pig slaughtering performance and meat quality performance. Laid the foundation for degossypolized cottonseed protein in the actual apply in swine diets.Experiments1:Assessment apparent digestible energy of degossypolized cottonseed meal by fully compensated for fecal method and alternative method. The selection of six healthy weight36.2±1.6kg Duroc X Landrace X Yorkshire barrows, two3X3Latin square design, three treatments were the basal diet, degossypolized cottonseed protein trial diets, soybean meal trial diets. The results showed that:degossypolized cottonseed protein for pigs the apparent digestible energy were12.41MJ/kg, energy apparent digestibility were71.1%; in the test soybean meal the apparent digestible energy were13.62MJ/kg, energy apparent digestibility were80.27%.Experiments2:Amino acid standardized ileal digestibility of degossypolized cottonseed protein was measured using a T-Cannula. Endogenous AA determination for N-free diet method. Choose5body weight35.7±1.0kg Duroc X Landrace X Yorkshire pig. The design of a5X5Latin square experiment was divided into five, five processing is divided into N-free diet, a soybean meal group, and three degossypolized cottonseed protein groups. The results showed that:the essential amino acids standardized ileal digestibility of three degosspolized cottonseed protein samples are generally above80%, slightly lower than the soybean meal samples.Experiments3:The objective of this experiment was to assessment the effect of different replacement percentage of soybean in15-35kg piglet diet by degossypolized cottonseed protein on growth performance and blood biochemical indicators.72 Duroc X Landrace X Yorkshire piglets averaging14.32±1.49kg, completely randomized into four groups (n=6) repeat (column), male and female half, each repeated three pigs. Control diet with soybean meal as the only protein feed ingredients, nutritional levels with reference to the Chinese pig breeding standard2004. Experimental group diets on the basis of the control group, using degossypolized cottonseed protein to replace the control diet with soybean meal crude protein20%,40%,60%, respectively. The proportions of the diet were4.9%,9.8%,14.7%. Adjust Dietary composition and to the level of crude protein, digestible energy the standard of digestible lysine level was consistent, standard digestible methionine, sulfur-containing amino acids, threonine, tryptophan to meet or exceed the Chinese pig breeding standards2004level. The results showed that:average daily gain and average daily feed intake were no significant difference (P>0.05),14.7%the high-adding group feed over gain ratio was significantly higher than that in the control group and4.9%low-adding group (P<0.05). And degossypolized cottonseed protein level had no significant effect on the blood biochemical parameters.Experiments4:The objective of this experiment was to assessment the effect of different replacement percentage of soybean in35-60kg piglet diet by degossypolized cottonseed protein on growth performance.72Duroc X Landrace X Yorkshire growing pigs averaging34.38±3.27kg completely randomized into four groups (n=6) repeat (column), male and female half, each repeated three pigs. Control diet with soybean meal as the only protein feed ingredients, nutritional levels with reference to the Chinese pig breeding standard2004. Experimental group diets on the basis of the control group, using degossypolized cottonseed protein to replace the control diet with soybean meal crude protein50%,75%,100%, respectively. The proportions of the diet were10%,15%,19.9%. Adjust Dietary composition and to the level of crude protein, digestible energy, the standard of digestible lysine level was consistent, standard digestible methionine, sulfur-containing amino acids, threonine, tryptophan to meet or exceed the Chinese pig breeding standards2004level. The results showed that:average daily gain, average daily feed intake and feed over gain ratio were no significant difference (P>0.05). Experiments5:The objective of this experiment was to assessment the effect of different replacement percentage of soybean in60~100kg finishing pigs diet by degossypolized cottonseed protein on growth performance, blood biochemical indicators, carcass trait and meat quality.72Duroc×Landrace×Yorkshire piglets averaging63.09±4.64kg completely randomized into four groups (n=6) repeat (column),male and female half, each repeated three pigs. The proportions of the diet were7.5%,11.2%,15%. Adjust Dietary composition and to the level of crude protein, digestible energy approximation, the standard of digestible lysine level was consistent, standard digestible methionine, sulfur-containing amino acids, threonine, tryptophan to meet the Chinese pig breeding standards2004level. The end of the feeding trial, select the control group and the highest degossypolzied cottonseed protein trial group five pigs to slaughtered. The results showed that:average daily gain, average daily feed intake and feed over gain ratio were no significant difference (P>0.05). And degossypolized cottonseed protein level had significant effect on alkaline phosphatase (P<0.01), but no significant effect on other blood biochemical parameters (P>0.05). And degossypolized cottonseed protein level had no significant effect on carcass trait and meat quality (P>0.05).
