Studies On Quality Evaluation Of Bidens In Shandong Province

In order to using the folk medicine of Bidens more standardly and the development of Bidens resources, we improved the quality standard of Bidens. The paper made a systematic quality assessment of Bidens in Shandong province. In aspects of materia textual criticism, original plant identification, microscopical identification, physical and chemical identification, routine examination, content determination, essential oil and biological fingerprints, we made a comprehensive investigation and study. According to the source investigation of Bidens, original plant forms were described and we established Key to Species. The microscopical identification of this plant was determined using the classical method. The five kinds and a variant of Bidens in Shandong province was determined about the water content, ash and extract which was detemined according to the local standards and the Chinese Pharmacopoeia 2005 and 2010 edition. Using ultraviolet spectrophotometry, total flavonoidsand sugar content were determined. And the essential oil was analyzed by GC-MS. Germplasm research was studied by isozymes electrophoresis. By RP-HPLC, the content of total flavonoids was determined. According these work, we made a systematic quality assessment, formulated quality standard draft and established a scientific and reasonable quality evaluation system.Results: The species of Bidens, in aspects of property and isozyme bands, had obvious differences which can be used as a basis for distinguishing species. And the property characteristics, moisture, ash, extract, total flavonoids, total sugar, volatile oil content had certain differences.What is more, between different varieties of Bidens, the compounds of essential oil were different. The content of three kinds of flavonoid glycosides were also great different.
