Objective:To investigate the effects of the fast recovery techniques on the physical recovery of the patients after partial hepatectomy who suffered from the primary hepatocellular carcinoma. Methods:Using new advanced analysis technology, eighty-two patients were selected who underwent partial hepatectomy in the Liver Transplantation Center of the 1st Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University from June 2010 to March 2011. They were randomly divided into "Conventional group" and "Fast-track-surgery group (FTS)" respectively by the "envelope method". Routine nursing cares were given in the conventional group while the fast recovery techniques were performed in the FTS group.Research tools:The physical recovery survey for the patients, a Likert 5 Method was used: extreme deviation from the normal range (1 point), severe deviation from the normal range (2 points), moderate deviation from the normal range (3 points), slight deviation from the normal range (4 point), in the normal range (5 points). A survey was given 2 days after admission,24h,48h,72h and 1 week after operation separately. The average scores were recorded at each time point.Statistics and analysis:1. The dates were input by the software of epidate and the concordance was checkout before ananlysis.2. SPSS 13.0 and SAS9.13 are used to carry out chi-square test and rank sum test. The difference of variance between the two groups at four different time-point were used to compare patient's physical effort, meanwhile the difference of the patient's physical effort between 48h and 24h,72h and 24h, plus 1w and 24h was compared by using students't test. It has statistical significance when P<0.05.3. T test was used to compare the patient's first exhaust defecation time, postoperative hospital stay and postoperative hospital charge. Results:There's no difference in gender, age, diagnosis, DGG, surgical methods, physical effort, etc before operation between the two groups. However, evaluation parameters in FTS group have significant difference compared to Conventional group (P<0.05) including Energy Conservation and Psychomotor Energy at the first time point (24h after operation); Endurance, Energy Conservation, Psychomotor Energy, Rest and Post Procedure Recovery Status at the second time point (48h after operation), all the evaluation indics at the third time point (72h after operation); the Endurance, Psychomotor Energy and Post Procedure Recovery Status at the fourth time point (1w after operation). Moreover, the difference of evaluation parameters between 48h and 24h,72h and 24h, 1w and 24h between two group were also investigated, it has statistical significant difference (P<0.05) between 48h and 24h of Endurance, Psychomotor Energy Rest and Post Procedure Recovery Status; difference between 72h and 24h of Endurance, Rest, Sleep and Post Procedure Recovery Status; and difference between 1w and 24h of Post Procedure Recovery Status. For FTS patients with the Conventional group, the first exhaust defecation time was significantly earlier, postoperative hospital costs and length of stay decreased significantly(P<0.05).Conclusion:Fast recovery techniques will be benefit for patients on endurance, Energy Conservation, Rest and Psychomotor Energy after operation, advancing patient's early rehabilitation, shortening hosiptal stay and decreasing the cost of hospitalization.
