Objective:Purpose of this study is to analyze China's current policy of generic drugs and its recommendations Methods:Tracing the history of generic drugs by literature search, comparing and analyzing the differences of approval policy between china and America, Learning from foreign advanced experience and mode, analyzing the current situation in the generics market and predicting the international trends in future. Then propose the orientation of policy. Results and Conclusions:China should actively encourage the implementation of the policy of generic drugs to ensure the smooth implementation of essential drugs policy and encourage pharmaceutical companies to seize opportunities of the world generics market in the next few years for their strength expanding and solid foundation laying for the stage of innovation with imitation.
