Objective:To elucidate the influence of cytokines in immunodeficiency and the effect of cytokines in forming process of hemodialysis-related complication. Methods:In comparison of the serum levels of IL-2, IL-6, TNF-a, IFN-r in controls, non-dialysis patients and hemodialysis patients pre and post HD process. Results: IL-6 was significantly higher in ESRD patients, hemodialysis induced a further increase. After hemodialysis, IL-2 was increased and was significantly higher than control group. IFN-r was increased in CKD patient, and decreased after hemodialysis unexpectively. TNF-a was lower in ESRD patients, but increased after hemoidalysis. As oxidative parameters, MDA was higher in ESRD patients, hemodialysis induced a further increase. Anti-oxidative enzymes, SOD, CAT and GSH-PX were decreased in patients undergoing hemodialysis.Results::TNF-a was lower in CKD patients,NHD patients,HD patients;IFN-r was increased in CKD patients, and decreased after hemoidalysis unexpectively;IL-2 was increased and significantly higher in post-hemoidalysis patients than that of control group;IL-6 was significantly higher in ND patients and HD patients, but it seems that hemodialysis induced a further increase. Conclusion:Hemodialysis procedure contributes to the imbalance of cytokines in CRF patients which induces the incapacity of cytokines in the way of coordinating immune response.
