There were 20 patients in each group. The comprehensive group combined with routine acupuncture group and shangen group. Shangen group of the treatment with superficial needling at shangen point. To observe and evaluate the improvement of sleep quality and the quality of live with PQSI and QLI as measurements at before treatment, after treatment and 1 month after treatment.Results:(1)PQSI rating scale by statistical analysis shows that improved sleep quality in the three groups, compared with that before treatment, the difference was statistically significant (p<0.05). One month after treatment, effect of the three groups has declined, compared with that before treatment, the difference was statistically significant (p<0.05);(2)PQSI rating scale by statistical analysis shows that improved sleep quality in the three groups had not statistically significant (p> 0.05) in the early. Shangen group had poor long-term effects;(3) After the treatment, PSQI score comparisons show that in the sleep time, sleep efficiency and daytime function between the three different, there are differences in contrast;(4)Comparative assessment of treatment QLI showed three QLI points up in varying degrees, but there was no significant between the three different(p> 0.05). One month after the end of treatment follow-up, three QLI points down in varying degrees, but there was no significant between the three different(p> 0.05);(5)From the effect point of view, three groups have significantly improved recently. From the long-term perspective, the efficacy of comprehensive group of the best. Conclusions:(1)Superficial needling at shangen point can significantly alleviate the insomnia symptoms, the treatment for insomnia has a positive effect;(2)superficial needling at shangen point can significantly improve sleep quality in patients with insomnia and quality of life;(3) there is additive effect if superficial needling at shangen point combined with conventional acupuncture, they can be integrated in clinical applications.
