Clinical Efficacy Observation Of The Prostate â…  Prescription In Treatment Of Chronic Prostatitis With Erectile Dysfunction (Damp Heat Stasis Syndrome)

Purpose:Observe the clinical efficacy of The ProstateⅠPrescription in treatment of Chronic Prostatitis(CP) with Erectile Dysfunction(ED) (Damp Heat Stasis Syndrome). Explored the mechanism of the treatment of ProstateⅠand the correlation between the Chronic Prostatitis and Erectile Dysfunction.Methods:Merried patients who was diagnosised of CP with ED (Damp Heat Stasis Syndrome) were selected from August 2010 to April 2011. With 60 patients randomly assigned by age range, were divided into the treatment and control groups each of 30 patients. Every patients was given the basic treatment. In addition, the treatment group were given the oral 200ml of Prostate 1 Prescription, bid; the control group were given the oral Qianliexin capsule 6 grain, tid; Each course is 4 weeks. Before and after treatment, the U.S. National Institutes of Health Chronic Prostatitis Symptom Index (NIH-CPSI), TCM syndromes of chronic prostatitis, the International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF-5) were filled to evaluate the severity and efficacy.Results:(1) Both of the ProstateⅠPrescription and the Qianliexin capsule can be effective in the treatment of Chronic Prostatitis with Erectile Dysfunction, Compared between before and after treatment, the scores were significant differences (P<0.05) in pain, urinary symptoms, quality of life, NIH-CPSI, TCM syndrome score, IIEF-5 etc.; (2) There is no significant difference (P> 0.05) between the treatment group and the control group in the efficient of the treatment of CP, significantly improving the efficiency of TCM, the cure rate of ED; (3), There is no significant difference (P> 0.05) between the treatment and the control group in the improvement of the NIH-CPSI score and the quality of life score; but in the relieve of pain and urinating, there are significant differences(P<0.05) in the two groups. The treatment group (5.63±1.56) is better than the control group (2.70±1.51) in the urinating relief, while the control group (8.03±1.77) is better than the treatment group(3.30±1.71) in the pain relief; (4) The TCM between the treatment group and the control group has no significant difference (P> 0.05); but in the improvement of ED, the treatment group (5.47±1.31) is superior to the control group (4.17±1.68) (P<0.05). (5)EPS points before and after treatment in both groups were not significantly improved (P>0.05), and there are no difference between the two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion:Prostate I Prescription can effectively treat the patients diagnosed of chronic prostatitis with erectile dysfunction; In the chronic prostatitis patients with erectile dysfunction, erectile function can be improved by improving urinating syndrome.
