| [Objective]Aim to assay the therapeutic effect of supplementing qi, nourishing yin and harmonizing xue formula (SQNYHXF) according to the traditional Chinese medicine principle of supplementing qi and nourishing yin, harmonizing xue and calming luo on refractory and relapsing immune thrombocytopenic purpura (RITP), explore the extensive clinic appliment of SQNYHXF on RITP and also establish the scientific research foundation on RITP with integration medicine project.[Methods]Ten RITP patients, who were suffered from the poor or none therapeutic effect of glucocorticosteroid, classic immunosupressant, or splenectomy were selected as clinic research objects. They were informed to oral administration of SQNYHXF, glucocorticosteroid and/or immunosuppressant were used at the same time according to variable situations. Platelet count were detected every two weeks during treatment proceeding. At least three months later, the realtive data, including platelet count, clinic haemorrhage symptom and the withdrawal of western medicine were assayed.[Results]Combined with glucocorticosteroid and/or immunosuppressant, SQNYHXF could increase the platelet counts and improve the clinical symptoms of patients who suffered from the RITP. Simultaneously, it helped the RITP patients to maintain the platelet count or elevate the count to normal level during the proceeding of glucocorticosteroid and/or immunosuppressant withdrawal. Absent of the western medicine, the SONYHXF alone presented significant effect to those RITP patients who were glucocorticosteroid-dependent or glucocorticosteroid-rejective.[Conclusion]Together with the study results of 42 ITP patients applying Chinese medicine alone or Chinese and western integration medicine, the SQNYHXF takes advantage of clinic therapeutc effect on RITP patients, especially on controling the symptomes of haemorrhage, elevating platelet count and decreasing or withdrawing glucocoticosteroid/immunosuppressant. |
