Objective:To investigate the effects and the further mechanism of phenolicalkaloids of Menispermum dauricum (PAMD) on bax and bcl-2.Methods:The basic status of mice and the metastatic tumor model of tumor-bearing mice was established with S180 cell line, the inhibition rate of tumor proliferation was detected after treatment with PAMD. Meanwhile, the effect on immune organ index was detected. To operate hematoxylin and eosin stain, the anti-tumor activity of PAMD was deterinimed by optical microscope.RT-PCR was carried out to confirm the expression of bcl-2 and bax after treatment of tumor-bearing mice with PAMD.Results:PAMD could inhibite the tumor growth of tumor-bearing mice of S180 cell line,The inhibition rate were31.47%,44.11%,38.37%, respectively. PAMD also could not show markedly effect on basic status of mice and the immune organ index. Meanwhile, PAMD could decrease the content of bcl-2 in tumour tissues of tumor-bearing mice. PAMD could increase the expression of bax remarkable.Conclusions:PAMD showed markedly inhibiting action on the tumor growth of tumor-bearing mice, the mechanism of PAMD is related to inhibiting cell apoptosis.
