Clinical Observation On Post-Stroke Depression Treated By "Tiaoqitongdu" Acupuncture Therapy

Objective:To observe the curative effect of "Tiao Qi Tong Du" acupuncture therapy in the treatment of post stroke depression (PSD) and the influence of neural function on patients with PSD. Evaluation the value of "Tiao Qi Tong Du" acupuncture therapy on post-stroke depression.Methods:60 patients met the study inclusion criteria of PSD were randomly divided into acupuncture group and control group, n = 30 cases.In addition to accept basic therapy, acupuncture group use "Tiao Qi Tong Du" acupuncture therapy,1st day, treated four weeks; The control group every morning take fluoxetine capsule 20mg,1st day, treated four weeks. Before and in the end of treatment,we evaluation the depressive symptomatology by Hamilton depression rating scale for depression(HAMD) and the neural function by the Modified Scandinavian stroke scale (MESSS). The data was analyzed by SPSS17.0software.Results:1. The scores of HAMD of two groups have remarkable difference before and after treatment (P<0.01), the acupuncture group has better efficiency improvement was observed in "Tiao Qi Tong Du" acupuncture therapy treated group (P<0.05) after treatment, and efficient, and greater rates were significantly higher in the control group.2. The scores of MESSS of two groups have remarkable difference before and after treatment (P<0.01), and the "Tiao Qi Tong Du" acupuncture therapy group can reduce the MESSS grading, patients with PSD compared with control group has significant statistically (P<0.01)after treatment, and efficient, and greater rates were significantly higher in the control group.3. After treatment, the incidence of side effects compared between the two groups, a statistically significant difference (P<0.05), show that the"Tiao Qi Tong Du"acupuncture therapy on post-stroke depression without obvious adverse reactions, compared with comparison group safe. Conclusions:1. The results suggest that "Tiao Qi Tong Du" acupuncture therapy can release depressive symptomatology of post-stroke significantly. It can improve PSD patients'neurological function, its curative effect is significantly better than prozac.2. The results suggest that "Tiao Qi Tong Du"acupuncture therapy for post stroke depression effective.It had no significant adverse reactions, compared with western medicine safe, is a safety, economical and effective method for post-stroke depression patients, worthy of clinical use.
