Neurosurgical radio frequency therapy technology is commonly applied in clinical, so far. And evaluation of intraoperative real-time assessment is an urgently problem needed to resolve. The present study makes use of near infrared spectroscopy to collect the real-time variable tissue parameters during radio frequency ablation, and to explore the real-time evaluation of efficacy of intraoperative parameters and mathematical models. It will be of great significance in real-time neurosurgery monitoring surgery, if solved such problems efficiently. This study mainly focuses on hardware and software design pertaining to efficacy of radio frequency ablation assessment system based on near in-fared, and developed an integral hardware and software system. Meanwhile we have tested the system specifications through radiofrequency ablation experiments. The aspects revolving this system development mainly include as follows: (1) Construct micro invasive near-infrared radiofrequency ablation system's hardware, which involves parts of testing near-infrared real-time tissue parameters and radio frequency treatment;(2) System software design, accomplishment of collecting the near-infrared parameters of tissue and estimation of radio frequency ablation therapy;(3) System calibration, calibrating the parameters of biological tissue;(4)Vitro experiments and animal experiments, vitro porcine liver and cat brain experiments utilizing radio frequency ablation with the present system, obtain the underlying law of real-time variable tissue parameters, and achieve the real time collecting data of tissue parameters during radio frequency ablation, which provides real time data for real time efficacy evaluation of mathematical models, and realize the anticipated therapeutic effect.Innovations of this study mainly contain as follows:(1) Implementation of real time vivo efficacy evaluation through applying near infrared spectroscopy technology to neurosurgical radio frequency therapeutic intraoperative assessment provides a new technique for clinicians;(2) Proposed a efficacy assessment parameter, and take the reduced scattering coefficient collected during micro invasive real-time test system as an assessment parameter which could be a major criterion as the future efficacy assessment.
