Tamarix chinensis Lour., with great biological and economical values, is the only kind ofplant grow on the siliting coastal area of Jiangsu Province. In this study, field experiment and labsimulation was used as the methods to study the space distribution, annual variation of flavone inthe plant, and the total content of flavonoid in different family and cultivation conditions. Themain conclusions are as follows:1) Flavonoid existed in all parts of the plant of Tamarix chinensis Lour., but the total contentof flavonoid was different. The flavonoid content in root bark and bark reached17.060mg.g-1and17.060mg.g-1,respectly, which exceeded other parts of the plant obviously(α=0.01). The contentin the peeled stems was the lowest, which is5.233mg.g-1.The order of total content of flavonoidin each parts of the plant is:root bark>bark>stem> young stems and leaves> peeled root>peeled stems。2)After the study of annual variation of flavonoid in the stem and young stems and leaves, the content among each month was different(α=0.01). The average flavonoid content of stem andyoung stems and leaves in one year was11.752mg.g-1, and the content in spring(7.927mg.g-1)was lower than the period between July and October(13.397mg.g-1). The content of July was17.944mg.g-1,which was2.1times more than May and June.Content of the period between Julyand November was higher than other period all the time. The flavonoid content of tender stem inJuly reached13.857mg.g-1,which was2.7times more than June. Content between July andOctober was11.497mg.g-1~13.857mg.g-1.3)After the study of growth characteristics and flavonoid content to9family of Bin1006,there were obvious difference in the study of seeding height, ground diameter, fresh weight, dryweight and total content of flavonoid among the6family, and average flavonoid content of9family was14.421mg, among which Bin1012reached33.442mg, Yan30was7.755mg,whichwas the highest and the lowest families, The coefficient of variation was31.1%to51.7%.Theaverage content of each family correlated to seeding height and other five factor significantly, which showed great potential in choosing advantageous variety.4)We analyzed the total flavonoids contents of different parts of plant in lands whichcontain different salt, flavonoids content of root bark and peeled stems increased with the raise ofsalt content. Flavonoids content of stem increased but then decreased with the raise of saltcontent. Flavonoids content of bark decreased but then increased with the raise of salt content.Flavonoids content of young stems and leaves and peeled root was on change.5)Under NaCl treatment with different NaCl concentration (0‰,2‰,4‰,8‰,12‰),Flavonoids content in stem of clone1,clone3and clone4were higher when the salinity were0‰ and4‰. Flavonoids content in stems of clone2was higher when the salinity were4‰.Flavonoids content in young stems and leaves of Tamarix chinensis Lour. decreased with theraise of NaCl concentration. It adequately shows that NaCl concentration change was notsynchronized with that of flavonoids content in stems between different clones.
