Objective:To study the allocation of embedded teeth in jaws using the threee-dimensional reconstruction technique of cone beam CTMethods:203 cases in 122 paients were examined by cone beam CT of axial wiew volume scan CT.The exact localization of embedded teeth in jaws was acquired by using volume rending,curve plane resconstruction, serial transplamar reformation and multiplanar reformation, acquiring single or multiple tomogram,panoramic and three-dimensional reconstruction of the images, for analysis of teeth shape, position and with the surrounding tissuesResults:The localization,morphous,size,erupted orientation and relationship between surrounding tissues of the 78 embeded canine and the 36 embeded mandibular third molar of the 203 embedded teeth were displayed by effectually using the images of VR, CPR,MPR,STR.The election of surgical intervention,transplant or orthodontic treatment was decided by using cone beam CTConclusion:The exact data and objective evidence of the treatment plan could be provided by cone beam CT, post-data processing, serial transplamar reformation and threee-dimensional reconstruction which will have important clinical application For clinicians to choose the best treatment...
