Objective:Observed Ni-Cr alloy, Co-Cr alloy, Au alloy porcelain fused to metal crown (PFM) restoration, the weight of GCF,the level of ICAM-1,MMP-2 and MMP-9 in GCF changed,to explore the effect of three PFM materials on periodontal tissues.Methods:Select the five dogs to periodontal therapy in zunyi.21 days later,lateral incisor teeth and canine teeth of each dog (40 teeths)were randomly divided into four groups, Three groups prepared for receiving Ni-Cr alloy, Co-Cr alloy and Au alloy metal ceramic crown, the remaining group was the control group.Before tooth preparation and 1st month,3rd month,and 6th month after PFM cementation,GCF was obtained by WthammnⅢfilter paper stips respectively, and the levels of Clinical parameters,the weight of GCF,ICAM-1,MMP-2 and MMP-9 were tested.Results:1 month later, the Ni-Cr alloy, Co-Cr alloy and Au alloy PFM were restored, the various clinical parameters (PD, PLI, SBI), the weight of GCF,the level of ICAM-1,MMP-2 and MMP-9 in GCF were markly higher than those in the control group (P> 0.05).3 months later, the various clinical parameters of Ni-Cr alloy, Co-Cr alloy showed no significant change, but the weight of GCF, the level of ICAM-1,MMP-2 and MMP-9 in GCF were significantly increased.There is significant change than the control group and the Au alloy group(P<0.05).6 months later, the clinical parameters (PLI,SBI) of the Ni-Cr alloy,Co-Cr alloy group showed no significant change (P>0.05),PD were markedly higher than those in the control group and 1,3 monthsCP<0.05), the weight of GCF, the level of ICAM-1,MMP-2 and MMP-9 in GCF all were significantly increased, there is significant change with the control group and the Au alloy group(P<0.05).Those of the Au alloy group showed no significant difference with the control group (P> 0.05).Conclusion:The Ni-Cr alloy,Co-Cr alloy restoration materials may affect the level of cytokines (ICAM-1, MMP-2, MMP-9) in GCF. The noble metal may affect periodontium less than the base metal in observation period of this study.
