Objective:To inv estigate the effects of walnut oil,perilla oil,lin olenic acid and linoleic acid on the spatial learning and memoryability of weaned pups during development period and explore thei r workmechanism.Metho ds:A total of 78 neonatal male SD rats, 4 weeks old,were randomly div id ed into 13 groups according to the metho d of randomdigits table including negative control group,low,middle,high dosegroup of waln ut oi l( 1.1 g/k g,2.2 g/kg,11 g/kg),low,middle,hig h dosegroup of perilla oil (1.1g/kg,2.2g/kg,11g/kg),low,middle,high dosegroup ofα-linolenic acid (0.1g /kg,0.2g/kg,1g/k g),low,middle,hig hdose group of linoleic acid (0.1g/kg,0.2g/kg,1g/kg).After 4 weeks feed,the spatial learning and memory ability were detected by Mo rris watermaze test,and then detected the level of total protein content,enzymeactivity of Acetylcholinesterase(AChE),Nitric Oxide Synthase (NOS),Superoxide dismutase(SOD),and the co ntent of Malondialdehyde(MDA)the brain tissue of rats.Results:(1 ) As the Morris water maze test resultshowed,compared with negative contro l group, the escape latencydetected in middle, hig h dose group of waln ut oil has decreasedsignificantly (P< 0.05 )and low, middle,hig h dose group of perilla oiltake the same effcet (P<0.05,P<0.0 1 ).The times of striding overplatform tested in middle, high dose group of walnut oil and hig h dosegroup of perilla oil increased sign ificantly (P< 0.05 ).(2) Ca mpared withnegative control group,the activity of AChE in brain tissue of rats fedwith middle,high dose group of walnut oil increasedsignificantly (P< 0.05 ),the activity of SOD increased sign ificantly in highdose group of perilla oil and high dose group ofα-linolenic acid (P<0.05).MDA content detected in middle, high dose gro up of perilla oil was lower than the negative contro l group (P< 0.05 ).Conclusion: (1) During development period of weaned pups,add walnutoil or perilla oil can promo te the ability of spatial learning and memory.(2)simply addα-linolenic acid, linoleic acid can not take similar effcet....
