Objective:explore the ability of ABCD2+MES score in predicting cerebral infarction of transient ischerllic attack patients. Methods: 156 Transient ischemic attack patients were evaluated according to ABCD2 criteria and ABCD2+MES criteria.Results:1.156 cases of TIA patients progressed to cerebral infarctionwere 28 cases after 7d, the occurrence was 17.95%.Progress to infarction within 30 days of a total of 42 cases, the occurrence was 26.92% of the total number of cases, a total of 90 days total for the progression to cerebral infarction in 58 cases, the occurrence was 37.18%.2.The AUCs (95%CI) of ABCD2十MES and ABCD2 were 0.812(0.714~0.856) and 0.713(0.618~0.821).156 cases of TIA patients Patients with ABCD2+ MES score≤2 were 12 patients without cerebral infarction; 15 patients scored 3, 1 patient progressed to cerebral infarction, the occurrence, was 6.67%, 32 patients scored 4,progressed to cerebral infarction in 8 cases, the occurrence was 25%, 50 cases scored 5, progressed to cerebral infarction in 19 cases, the occurrence, was 38% ; 28 patients scored 6, progressed to cerebral infarction in 17 cases, the occurrence was 60.72% ; scored 7 in the 11 patients progressed to cerebral infarction in 7 patients, the occurrence was 63.64%; scored 8 in 8 patients, 6 patients progressed to cerebral infarction, the occurrence was 75%.The 90-day risk of stroke was 3.71% in patients with an ABCD2+MES score of low risk(0~3),31.71% th a score of moderate risk(4~5),and 65.96% with a score of high risk(6~8)(P<0.05).Score of the three groups Kaplan-Meier curve, the prognosis of the three scores analysis showed that cerebral infarction in high-risk group likely to occur than in the risk group and the low risk group (statistic = 7.18, P = 0.0074, log-rank test). Conclusion: 1.ABCD2 score is the more effective method of prediction of progression to cerebral infarction after TIA . 2.The predictive value of ABCD2 +MES score is the more effective method than ABCD2 score, ABCD2 +MES score is the more effective method of prediction of progression to cerebral infarction after TIA .
