In July 2005, China's Ministry of Health formally included college students in HIV high-risk groups. Medical students in the class of college students are a special group. They are both objects of AIDS health education and the prevention of AIDS health education responsibility incumbent. There are many current researches on the HIV/AIDS knowledge, attitude and practice of college students in China as well as medical students. But the medical school intern HIV/AIDS knowledge, attitude and practice study is less. This study was to do the research on higher medical school interns through classified according to their professional cluster sampling survey from the perspective of the hospital in Yunnan province, a high incidence of AIDS. The aim of this study is to discover the current situation of AIDS education and the lack of Network access to provide basic data and decision-making basis; to provide background information and theoretical basis for future medical institutions, medical institutions and community AIDS education related to teaching and content designed. Methods Based on the reference to relevant data, I use self-designed questionnaire on AIDS knowledge, attitude and practice of the medical internships from 2009.07-2010.07. And use the major as a unit of the convenience sampling method for cluster sampling. I selected 600 graduate student interns from Yunnan College of Medicine, who major in clinical medicine(110),nursing(140),pharmacy(86),testing(90),preventive medicine(95) and imaging(79) for the study to have a on-site survey. One person is responsible for creating an Excel database, using the SPSS 11.5 statistical software for statistical analysis of data. With frequency, percentage, we describe the demographic study of AIDS-related knowledge and access to means. Use other indicators or access to describe the awareness of the students'knowledge level about AIDS, attitudes and behavior status. Using contingency table chi-square test, we compare medicine graduate interns in general according to different professional group on the following aspects: level of knowledge about AIDS, attitudes and behavior status. Make comparison on different graduate interns'level of knowledge about AIDS, attitudes and behavior and analyze the situation and find out the reasons. Results This research altogether provides 600 questionnaires, recycling effective 598 questionnaires, including clinical medicine 110, nursing 140,pharmacy 84,testing 90,preventive medicine 95 and imaging 79.The returns-ratio is 99.7%. According to the test of normality, the means in 6 majors of the convenience sampling is 99.66±22.45, the skewness is 1.4, the kurtosis is 1.75.It is an normal distribution. They are comparable. 1.98% of medical school interns have heard about HIV (HIV) / AIDS (AIDS) information, but the knowledge and awareness of its prevention and treatment varies differently. According to the statistics, 598 medical graduate interns with 6 medical majors got the average score of 74.99±10.60 on HIV (HIV) / AIDS (AIDS) prevention and treatment. Those who majored in testing have got the highest scores (82.08±6.80), while the pharmacy majors got the lowest score (73.00±14.64). The general situation for knowing about HIV/ AIDS prevention and control knowledge among the 6 majors show the difference was highly statistically significant. Gender and nationality have no influence on the general knowledge of HIV/ AIDS prevention and treatment and the difference was not statistically significant (P> 0.05); and different habitats and different living style of the medical graduate students have something related to the knowledge and understanding of AIDS virus (HIV) / AIDS (AIDS) prevention and treatment. And the difference was statistically significant.2.The knowledge of the medical graduates about AIDS mainly came from television, Internet, newspapers, radio and other mass media.91.6% of the students feel the need to have AIDS health education as a compulsory or elective lesson; 92.9% of the students think it necessary for the hospital to carry out targeted training on occupational exposure to HIV (49.4%) and AIDS prevention and control knowledge (28.5%) during the internship period; About 83% and 13% of the students hope to master the clinical manifestations of AIDS prevention, treatment and other related knowledge. 3. Most of the graduate students have positive attitudes towards the HIV. 77.9% of the students are willing to do AIDS prevention advocates or volunteers to care for HIV infection or patients. Conclusion 1. From the perspective of clinical practice, the general knowledge on HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment of cognitive of Yunnan medical graduate students is not deep with different degrees. 2. School's AIDS education of medical students did not become the main channel of AIDS knowledge. 3. AIDS-related education has achieved some success and most of the graduate students have positive attitude toward the HIV. However, the content of the school teaching about AIDS is not enough comprehensive and in-depth, so the students'misconceptions of AIDS would increase the panic and negative attitudes.Suggestions First, strengthen the leading role in school education; the second, make full use of pre-practice medical education and training role; the third, establish the access system for health workers trained and qualified to practice AIDS prevention knowledge...
