L-4-fluorophenyl alanine (Fp) was a human hydroxylase inhibitors, and had anti-tumor effect.L-4-chlorophenyl alanine (Clp) was a antagonist of luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone.L-4-phosphate-phenylalanine (Pp), a substrate for a wide range of tyrosine phosphatase, inhibitied growthof cancer cells to block cell cycle in the S phase. However, there were many other phenylalaninederivatives, such as L-4-bromo (Bp), iodine (Ip), amino (Ap), nitro (Np), sulfonic acid (Sp), methoxy (Mp),cyano (Cp)–phenylalanine, and their biological roles were worthy of further study. To this end, wedetected the cytoactive of the ten kinds of phenylalanine derivatives by MTT assay, which acted on mousemelanoma cell line B16, human non-small cell lung cancer line A549, Chineese hamster ovary cell lineCHO, human cervical carcinoma cell line Hela, human amnion cell line Wish, human breast cancer cellline MCF-7, human colon cancer cell line HT-29. In addition, we detected the induction of apoptosis theseten phenylalanine derivatives on the seven kinds of cell lines by Hoechst staining. As well as, we setted therole on colony-forming unit of these ten phenylalanine derivatives on the seven kinds of cell lines..The results showed that these ten phenylalanine derivatives on the seven kinds of cell lines haddifferences roles which included cytoactive, induction of apoptosis and inhibition of cells into the colony.Fp, Ip, Mp these three derivatives affected cytoactive on the seven kinds of cell lines. Moreover they couldinduce the seven kinds of cell lines apoptosis. Therefore, preliminarily analysis showed that Fp, Mp, Ipaffected cytoactive by inducing apoptosis.Bp, Sp, Pp had the role of inhibiting colony formation of the seven kinds cell lines, preliminarilyanalysis showed that Sp Pp affected cytoactive by inhibition of cell growth.Ap, Np had weak cytotoxic. The colony formation assay revealed that they had a role in inhibition of cell colony formation. Therefore, Ap,Np affected cytoactive by inhibition of cell growth. There weredifferences on the cytoactive of seven kinds of cells. Ap did not affect cytoactive on CHO cell line. Npaffected cytoactive on the HT-29, WISH A549three cell lines. Hoechst staining showed that they did notinduce cell apoptosis.Clp did not affect cytoactive except MCF-7and HT-29cell lines. The colony formation assayrevealed that it's inhibition role of these two cell lines colony formation is larger than other cell lines.Preliminarily analysis showed that Clp affected cytoactive by inhibition of the MCF-7and HT-29cell linesgrowth.Cp did not affect cytoactive. And Hoechst staining and colony-forming unit had no obvious effect onthe seven kinds of cell lines.
