Objective:Severe experimental alkali burns in rabbit eyes by artificial cornea implantation of autologous bone tissue as the scaffold to explore artificial cornea scaffold of autologous bone tissue for the treatment of severe alkali burns in rabbit eyes feasibility. Including the rational design of this type of artificial cornea, biocompatibility, transplant surgery and complicationsMethod:Severe alkali burn model of the rabbit eye produced after three months, the PMMA optical cylinder buried in the rabbit iliac three months, remove the shaping made into artificial cornea model of autologous iliac bone and periosteal tissue as the scaffold of nine cases; systemthe artificial cornea model implanted into severe alkali burns in rabbit eyes, the experimental observation. Results:The model of severe alkali burns in rabbit eyes produced smoothly. The artificial cornea during surgery autologous iliac stent basically the successful completion of one cases, intraoperative line PMMA cylinder and cylinder from the around the iliac bone tissue removal surgery. A high index of suspicion of the cylinder is not buried after fixation, leading to detachment. Patients with postoperative wound infection associated with lung infection death. The remaining eight cases surgery went well. During the observation period, two cases of artificial cornea to exclude the remaining six cases no artificial cornea scaffold dissolved, aqueous leakage, high tension artificial cornea exclude infection and other complications of artificial cornea in the eye stable existence for more than3months.Conclusion:1.PMMA optical cylinder with autogenous iliac stent artificial cornea, the basic design of reasonable long-term existence of severe alkali burns in rabbit eyes provide important support for the clinical treatment of severe alkali burns;2.This type of artificial cornea transplant, the operation is simple, intraoperative and postoperative complications are relatively small;3.By the observation of this experiment show that this type of artificial cornea has the practical feasibility of clinical application, provide a theoretical basis for further animal experiments and technical support.
