| Letter words are a special phenomenon which happened in teaching Chinese as a second language field. It is a hot topic and discussed by many researchers in recent years. But there are still many issues in the definition and application section. It is necessary to do some research on it and give my own opinion. This article defined the letter words, analyzed the situations in daily use, gave the important questions related, and also did some interviews on international students. Then analyzed the interview results and give some advice.Chapter one defined the letter words, have a revision of definitions of former researchers. Sum up the writing rules and pronunciation rules of letter words.Chapter two analyzed the situations which letter words come out, give some questions related with letter word, and conclude the way of letter words include into the dictionary. Conclude the functions, advantages of letter words and Chinese's attitude towards letter words.Chapter three figures out the letter words from both angles of construction and meaning, shows the characters of letter words. Give samples in daily use, shows the problems still exist in teaching process.Chapter four focuses on the analyzing of letter words. It described the principles of interview table design, concludes the teaching strategies of letter words.The letter word is a special foreign phenomenon, but it has been already assimilate in the progress of Chinese development. It has the character differ from other parts of speech. During our teaching activities, we should consider the problems and phenomenon the letter words caused. |
