Objective:To explore the relationships among parental rearing patterns, childhood abuse experience, attachment types and personality disorders.Method:The Personality Diagnostic Questionnaire-4, PBI and CECA.Q was administrated to 508 college students by layered sample. Using SPSS for data processing.Results:(1) The personality disorder group get significantly higher scores than the normal group on PBI, ECR, CECQ.(2)Significant correlation existed between several factors of personality disorders and parental rearing behavior, childhood abuse experience, attachment types. (3)Regression analysis results:Father control factor, and attachment anxiety factor entered the regression equation of personality disorders.Conclusion:(1)There has a prevalence of personality disorders between 2.1%(schizoid) and 26.8%(Histrionic) of the college students; (2)There were significant differences in father and mother care, father and mother encourage independence, and father and mother control between personality disorder group and the non-disorder group; (3) The personality disorder group had more abused and ignored experiences in childhood; (4)The personality disorder group showed more insecure attachment experiences. (5)Dysfunctional Parental rearing behaviors, childhood abuse, experiences, and insecure attachment may play an important role in the development of personality disorders.
