The Related Research Of College Student Equity Sensitivity With Parental Rearing Patterns And Personality

Equity issues have been considered for a very long time. As a very important part of Equity Theory, it needs to take a serious consideration. About the research of Equity Sensitivity, people usually focus on the Equity Preference, but Equity Preference may be influenced by personal income and social desirability. So it cannot measure equity sensitivity effectively. This research aims on this problem; want to create a brand new structure to establish the questionnaire. This questionnaire depends on Neutral Object Theory. Then we will test the correlation between the Equity Sensitivity and personality and parental rearing patterns. Through this research, the result as follows:(1) Equity sensitivity is unidimensional continuum, the subsequent reliability and validity test, shows that the Neutral Object Equity Sensitivity Questionnaire is an effective and precise instrument.(2) The subjects’equity sensitivity is higher than average level.In gender differences, there is no significant difference.In residence differences, the rural subjects’score is higher than the urban subjects.In the only child differences, the non-only child subjects’score is higher than the only child subjectsThere are significant differences between different grade subjectsThere are significant differences between subjects’parents’education level.(3) Equity sensitivity has strong correlation with parental rearing patterns and each dimensions of it. Then the parental rearing patterns can predict the Equity sensitivity to some certain degree.Equity sensitivity has strong correlation with the personality’s extraversion, openness, agreeableness and conscientiousness dimension. Then the Equity sensitivity can predict these dimensions to some certain degree. But there is no correlation with Neuroticism dimension.
