Idioms are the quintenssence of Chinese, the crystalization of intelligence and Chinese culture. The mastery of Chinese idioms can be the measure of Chinese level of foreign students. However, teaching Chinese idioms in Viet Nam hasn't been focused. Therefore, the aim of this study is that with analysing Vietnamese students'mistakes in Chinese idiom use, showing some reference methods of Chinese idiom teaching in Viet Nam. The thesis is divided into 6 chapters.Chapter 1:Preamble:showing the reasons, aims of choosing the topics, subjects, methods, and generally showing the involving study.Chapter 2:Make a sketchy exposition of concept, features, source, structure, and functional grammar of Chinese idioms.Chapter 3:Indicating the importance and advantages of Vietnamese students in learning Chinese idioms.Chapter 4:Basing on the Chinese compositions of mid-advanced students and survey paper, analysing students'mistakes in idiom use.Chapter 5:Indicating the problems existed in Chinese idiom teaching in Vietnam, and giving some suggestions of problem solving in different aspects.Chapter 6:Conclusion.
