The Musical Analysis Of The Opera Yuan Ye's Tragedy

The tragedy leads to a tragic effect. The tragedy is an important part of the aesthetics. In the history of the western aesthetics, Aristotle proposed the aesthetic theory of the tragedy early. Then many of other aestheticians improved and perfected it. Finally the aesthetics of the tragedy formed a complete system. Because the tragedy is miserable, people feel sad, when it is showed; the tragedy is also noble, it gives us a sense of pride. As the opera of YuanYe tells us a story of revenge, it must appear the tragic scene. In the course of revenge, the righteous man endured the suffering and dead. When the audiences see the tragedy, they will have compassion and resonate with the tragic figure. Under the guidance of justice, the audiences will forward. At last the effect of the noble spirit is produced.The tragedy is as the entry point of the thesis. By the method of the music analysis, the view is elaborated. The article is composed by the introduction, the main body, the conclusion. In the introduction, I showed the topic of this thesis and the methods I launched on the study of the topic. In the chapter one, I separated the article into two sections according to the related background knowledge of YuanYe and how to expand the tragic story. In the chapter two, I elaborated how to expand the trgic plot according to the musical ontology. The chapter was divided into two sections. In section one, I explained mainly from the macro view, which included the opera's scenery, the opera's theme, the opera's orchestra and chorus and so on. In section two, I explained mainly from the microscopic view, which included the aria, the musical materials, rhythm, strength and so on. In the chapter three, which was divided into two sections, I elaborated mainly the tragic aesthetics of the opera. In the section one, I discussed the important aesthetic' views about the tragedy and how to be reflected in YuanYe. In section two, the tragic effect was showed in YuanYe. The main contents of the article were composed by the musical history, the musical form and the aesthetics. According to the main line of the tragedy, I completed the discussion. In the conclusion, I summarized the thesis.
