Study The Mobile Color Words On The Basis Of Corpus

This thesis aims to study the use of mobile telephone color words. A four million words of mobile telephone corpus is constructed with the guiding principle of generality, representativeness and balance in consideration. The author gives a thorough description and explanation about the mobile telephone color words from the perspective of classification, characteristics and use in daily life and further predicts the future of mobile telephone color words.The whole thesis is composed of five chapters.Chapter one is an introduction. In this part, the author points out the significance and value of the present research. Besides, the author also reviews the existing researches on this topic and puts forward the research methods and creativity of the present research.Chapter two is the introduction of the mobile telephone color words corpus. The types, frequencies and word segmentation are discussed and analyzed. The author finds that three syllable mobile telephone color words have an overwhelming priority considering the whole of mobile telephone color words.Chapter three discusses the types of color and features of mobile telephone color words. Starting from the basic colors, and integrating the psychology, aesthetics and sociology factors, the author classifies the mobile telephone color words into cold color, warm color and neutral color. On the basis of analysis of mobile telephone color words, the author finds that the word compounding shows more subjectivity and more targeted as well as cultural implication in order to cater for the public.Chapter four discusses the word compounding and feathers of mobile telephone color words. On the basis of the results of chapter two, in this part the author classifies the mobile telephone color words from the perspective of word compounding according to the nature of modifying morphemes and color words as a whole. More and more abstract morphemes tend to appear in color words and three key word compounding feathers are obtained:the priority of modifying construction, the variety of modifying morphemes and regularity of word compounding.Chapter five is the conclusion of the thesis. The author summarizes the results of the study and also points out the remaining problems unsolved. The bright future of the mobile telephone colors words is also discussed in this part.
