Objects: From the corss-point of view that sexual psychology and brain cognitive neuroscience, based on current literature and on Eysenck's and Fisher's theories, the present study aim to investigate whether there are differences when introverted and extraoverted males and when conservated sexual opinion and opened sexual opinion males are processing sexual stimulus. Methods: A classical oddball paradigm and procedure was used in the present study. Date collected from 10 introverted and 11 extraverted males, and form nine conservative sexual opinion and 12 opened sexual opinion males were analyzed in a evaluating task using event-related potentials (ERP).Results: (1) Compared to low arousal sexual stimulus, the high arousal sexual stimulus induced larger amplitude in all experimental groups; (2) N2 amplitude was larger in the introverted group than in the extraverted group, but N2 lantency was similar in the both two groups; (3) P300 and LPP amplitude were larger in the extroverted group than in the introverted group, but P300 and LPP lantencies were similar in the both two groups; (4) N2 amplitude was large in the conseverted sexual opinion male group than in the opened sexual opinion male group, but N2 lantency was similar in the both two group; (5) P2,P300 and LPP amplitudes were larger in the opened sexual opinion group than in the conseverted sexual opinion group, but these componants'lantencies were similar in the both groups. Conclusion: Personality and sexual attitudes may influence the processing of sexual pictures in human males; Personality and sexual attitude differences in human males may reflect in cognitive resource devotion in processing of sexual pictures; The results in the present studies may provide theoretics guidance for sexual arousal disease.
